Its main activity is the commercial management of both owned and time-chartered vessels, ranging from Handysize to Capesize.
The company handles a wide variety of cargoes, including coal, grains, minerals, and IMO 5.1 fertilizers.
Operations are focused on major loading regions such as the Black Sea–Mediterranean, Continent–Baltic, West Africa, ECSA–NCSA, and the Far East, with a smaller share of shipments originating from South Africa.

The average Mainline Shipping fleet consists of of up to 55 Handysize - Capesize vessels on trip-, short- or long-term charter, with a particular focus on modern Handysize, Supra- and Panamax vessels. We charter vessels from the market with a variety of trusted shipowners to cover the demand from our forward book.
